In Himachal Pradesh,
the Baddi Industrial belt comprising
Baddi, Barotiwala and Nalagarh has close
to 2400 registered units out of which
1,200 are already in production. Around
20,000 crores investment has already
flown into this belt that has earned
the distinction of becoming the largest
pharma hub in entire Asia. Besides,
several other industries including FMCG,
food, personal care and electronics
have set shop and are large consumers
of packaging. The adjacent town of Parwanoo
hosts several food processing units.
Uttarakhand
has become a beehive of industrial activity
with clustered industrial development.
The Haridwar-Roorkee-Dehradun belt that
includes Selaqui and Patel Nagar Industrial
areas in Dehradun, IIE SIDCUL at Haridwar,
Roorkee Industrial Area and Bhagwanpur
Industrial Area has large pharmaceutical
and food processing industries and some
of the largest names in package converters.
India
Package Meet, once again travels to
the grassroots in an extensive tour
of the area. The daylong programme in
Baddi and Haridwar will include a half-day
conference and day long tabletop exhibition.

At the core of the meet will
be a half-day conference that will focus
on technological developments in packaging,
package printing and corrugated box
making.

Top Exhibition:
An exhibition that will showcase products
and services on a tabletop featuring
30 companies at each venue. Providers
of machines, materials and services
to end users, package converters and
corrugated box makers will participate.
